RIVER RANGER & THE STUMPTOWN POETRY POSSE
River Ranger was born in the bustling town of Alhambra, California around the middle of the last century. His aspirations as a young boy were to get as far away from the hub-bub as possible. He finally got a taste of the desert when his family moved to the Mojave when he was 7. There in the desert was where he first experienced poetry, not with words involved, but just by seeing and feeling nature close-up. Since then, he has also felt close to the Cowboy's way of looking at life, and it was only natural when a spot on the local radio station was offered, he knew that playing Cowboy Music and reading Cowboy Poetry over the airwaves was the next best thing to bein' out on the range itself.

"In reading Cowboy Poetry I am taken back to the feelings I had as a youngster looking out at the vast desert and knowing that the infinity stretching before me made everything all right."
